About the Event

Central Synagogue, built in 1872 and landmarked in 1875, suffered a disastrous fire in 1998. Beautifully renovated by Architects Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates, and relighted by Fisher Marantz Stone, the synagogue’s sanctuary reopened to great acclaim in 2001.
