About the Event
Can you frankly introduce theatrical lighting equipment into a historic space, while maintaining the traditional character and reverence of the architecture? Or does it clash? Will the dramatic techniques that sweep Broadway’s stages, equally illuminate a more spiritual environment?
It all works remarkably well. To see for yourself, join lighting designer Charles Cosler for a tour and discussion of the concepts, processes and methods of the installation at Temple Congregation B’Nai Jeshurun as well as insight into other houses of worship he has illuminated.
Please come as early as you can to catch the last light through the stained glass windows.
