Join us for an in depth discussion of the Red Bull Music Academy project recently completed by the architectural lighting design firm, Tillotson Design Associates. Located in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood, the project involved transforming four vacant floors into a series of meeting spaces, galleries, and recording studios. The architecture and lighting create an atmosphere of experimentation intended to spark creativity and collaboration among top musicians around the world for what was a month-long venture of learning and producing music in a new, cutting edge environment. Interior lighting plays an essential part in dramatically transforming the space from day to night while supporting the many events, from gallery exhibitions to concerts, currently held within.
Erin Dreyfous, principal at Tillotson Design Associates, will present the concept process and final design solutions for this award-winning (IALD Award of Excellence) project.
