Photovoltaics: the Sun as a Power Source

April 15th, 2003

About the Event

Light = Power

If you think that solar panels are not practical for use in New York City……Think Again! Gregory Kiss will introduce you to several of his solar panel installations planted in our own backyard, such as the Conde Nast Building, Whitehall Ferry Terminal and others. All pleasing to the eye, incorporating new technology, non-polluting, sustainable and with an American ‘can do’ inventiveness.

For KISS + CATHCART Architects, designing with electricity generating photovoltaic panels is an art in which “aesthetics are inseparable from function.” Their fresh approach has won them many awards, competitions and high praise.

Their informed applications, thought-provoking design and solid philosophy are bound to fuel inspirational repercussions in your work.
